what about put it at curb in front of your house and put a huge sign on desk, FREE, i bet it will be picked up.

 

that is what i do to get rid of any furniture that has seen better days. curb, free sign, it usually is gone within 1 hour.

I didn't read all the posts so I don't know if someone has already suggested this. I don't know where you live, but we live in a rural area and last Sunday we put out a mattress, box spring and foam topper at the end of our lane with a free sign on it. It was gone in an hour.

The Goodwill does not accept furniture in our area but you may want to call your local Goodwill office and inquire; I understand it varies in different locations.
