I am looking into getting guardianship of my father,he is in the hospital now in VA,have liver failure and have early sign of dementia, his liver is getting better.I live in Ga,drove up here to be with him(i am typing this in the hotel room).I want him back in GA with me once he is back on his feet,he is 82.He has a wife here but she act like she don't want to be bothered with him, wouldn't even sign the application so he can get medicare,I had to hold my father hand to make an X for his signature. What was the process you had to go through,I spoke to the lawyer, she said I might have to just move him to GA let him establish residence and then apply for guardianship.Just wondering any advice out there, questions I need to ask.thanks
