What really gets to me ,is the reposting of the threads, why can't people just answer,and stop  doing that?

@goldensrbest

Please explain HOW anyone will know who they are referring to?   If I hadn't just quoted you, how could anyone know if I was responding to you or a post on the first page?

If this type of posting really bothers you that much, your best bet is to respond only to threads that are still quite short,   Most people here aren't psychic.

Right on @Tinkrbl44 .  THat makes no sense.  A quote must be copied.

@CherryHugs

It can get confusing when a post is quoted, re-quoted, re-quoted ad nauseum.  Sometime I can't keep track of whose response I'm reading.

I agree.  The quoting when there are dozens of back-quotes is horrible.

Wow this is a major trigger for some of you. Hanging by a thread!

On the other hand, I don't like posts that are obviously referring to a former post but don't quote it ( and sometimes don't even include the name of the first poster.) I have to go searching if I want to find that first post.

@suzyQ3  Exactly!! That is so annoying. Sometimes it takes a while to find the Post the person is refering to, so I give up. I usually say maybe it was not important to quote the person so why waste my time looking for it.

I wonder what @maryjane20 said. I'm interested because i would like to know if it can be helpful to me also but I don't feel like going back 10 pages to find it. She might have been able to save my flower garden.  Please quote maryjane20.

Re: Does anyone agree about long threads

My pet peeve is more about posters who refuse to

write with paragraphing!

One poster writes long-winded posts and never seems

to realize when paragraphing makes sense.

Someone even told her some time ago, "paragraphs are your friend", and that didn't sink in....

@Susan in California Yeah, I don't even read those (or any)  long-winded posts!
