I remember Tupperware, plant parties, definitely Home Interiors,basket parties, jewelry and clothes! etc... they were fun back then!

I went to Southern Living parties in the early 2000's. I got some lovely items from them. I have a glass and wrought iron tray that sits on a table, and a southwestern style platter I use for dinner. I love the colors.
AND - I was a Longaberger hostess for many years. I had inherited a sturdy bread basket from Maine. I had always loved baskets. When I went to college my mom gave me a small antique basket made with pegs that she put an African violet in. After that, everyone started giving me baskets. I have ceramic ones and rug ones friends made me. I made a lightship basket with an instructor from New England.
So back to Longaberger. My neighbor asked me if that was the maker of my bread basket. I had never heard of them. She had parties and invited me to one. I loved them, bought four, and gave them as gifts. The next time I kept some. She always had her parties in spring and suggested I have one in fall. So I started doing that. Both hers and mine were well attended, and everyone started expecting them! We had so much fun!
I loved hosting and going to parties, and I miss them. It was a fun night out with my friends and neighbors! ![]()

@beach-mom : My cousin was a hostess for the Lonagerberger baskets and it was a good business for her. Ok: Funny story. I live in the south and kids were given double name like : Myrtle Faye. One of my school teacher friends had a Lonagerber party and I was invited. My cousin opened the door when I arrived. She stated - Please call me Faye and do not say my full name.😮 I just stated: Well - hello cousin, small world. I still have my 3 baskets.

@haddon9- Back in the 70's when we moved to our first house, I hosted Tupperware, Home Interiors and Princess House parties many times and attended them also. I worked in an office with a lot of women and it seemed that was the thing to do back then. I got a lot of free stuff for hosting and that helped furnish my house. I have a lot of Princess House still in my china hutch that is gathering dust. I would love to sell it but am wondering if there is a market for it (especially the huge punch bowl and cups). People today don't seem to be interested in that way of life. Memories collecting dust!!

One of my close girlfriends sold Home Interiors and she had the nicest house of any of us. She decorated it so well. She was single and made good money from it. She drove a new car.
I bought quite a bit and enjoyed it. I think the rest of it went in my garage sales decades later.
I thought the quality was very good and I never considered it junk.
The Pampered Chef was too expensive for me. I had a few pieces.

The only parties I went to were Princess House, Pampered Chef and Tupperwear. Bought lots of Tupperwear and Princess House items. Some out of obligation, some because I really liked the items.
Oh, it isn't a home decor item, but I went to Avon parties too. Love their lipsticks, my mom liked the perfumes in the collectible bottles.

I FONDLY remember those beloved, fun parties!!😁 EVERYONE I knew in my social circle attended them, and or held them!🥰 My DSL invited me to my first one and I was HOOKED! We hosted several together soon after! I think I still have some of the brass butterflies, and birds hanging wall decor, and a few floral pictures in storage.😊
That was a comforting, nostalgic trip down memory lane just now, and I THANK you for it!❤😊
~~~All we need is LOVE💖
@luvmyteddy4 Yes, they had many pretty things. I received a lot of compliments. I had several parties and earned a lot to put towards my own home. I appreciated that opportunity. Right after finishing my living room our home burned to the ground so I lost it all.
Does anyone remember Dutchmaid Clothing?? My mom sold the clothing at parties and my sister and I modeled them. I remember a green corduroy coat I often wore in the Fall.
I had these Interior Home pictures for some time.
