I never attended one but was invited to several. I had a personal policy against attending such functions.

No, but I do remember attending a Plant Party back in the 80's, I purchased a small house plant for my mom, never attended another or such parties thereafter.

After bankruptcy Home Interiors was bought by Penny and Steve Carlile, the owners and founders of Home & Garden Party founded in 1996. They merged the two companies renaming it Celebrating Home and it continues to operate from Home and Garden Party's headquarters in Marshall, TX.

Yes, I remember those parties. I did not buy anything because most of the products were "dust collectors". They didn't serve any purpose other than being decorative. I also remember parties with cosmetic companies like Jafra and Mary Kay.

I attended one years ago. I purchased a basket that was woven to sit on a stairs. I still like and use the basket, but never attended another party/sales presentation.

@goldensrbest @Kachina624 Home Interior parties. I had many of them and loved those pictures, mirrors, sconces, shelves, figureines and I still love and have many of them.
We always had a lot of fun. We lasted til 1 a.m. or so after the exhibits. Our rep had a real knack for putting together exhibits of the products. She sold alot at my parties.
I always had ham salad and pimento cheese sandwiches, potatoe chips apple pie and ice cream, pop and even sometimes made punch with sherbert in Mom's punch bowl.
We'd sit around, talk, laugh, play with the "stuff".

I sure remember those too. Seemed like everyone in my mom's circle of friends had one. I think if so much stuff was sold, the host of the party got to choose some free decor.
I think some people on eBay still collect certain pictures and things from that line.
