And today's TSV seems to be a better value than the same item on amazon, plus comes with coffee and in a lot more colors than the other site. I might buy one here. Going off line now, and will be busy all day tomorrow and won't have the time to check other sites...
So...this is just one example of why someone will buy something here. Yes....maybe somewhere online, there is a better value, but some of us have to work and earn money in order to be able to make our purchases.

It's not that I am not computer savvy enough to do simple searches online or fall for the sales pitches that most know are just that and am not an impulse shopper - my time is just much more valuable than to search to see if I can find a better price for everything I purchase although even Amazon rarely has better prices and that is one of the few places I do shop but Amazon makes far more mistakes in shipping in my experience even though they do make it right in the end. I also know and trust QVC and for me it's worth it to know if I have a problem (and I rarely ever did in all the over 20 years shopping here), it will be resolved satisfactorily! I see some of my friends wasting their time searching for cheaper prices and when they do often are disappointed as the product was a second with flaws and then having problems returning. Sometimes the cheaper price is due to the item being a second or limited sizes and might have flaws or might just be a knockoff!! I don't have to pinch pennies and can just buy what I want when I see it. No thanks to searching for better deals or coupon codes, etc.

I've been looking for a certain pair of shoes. QVC carries them as does just about everywhere else including on-line only stores. Those shoes are $63.00 at QVC after I add s/h. QVC is offering a 4% rebate on Mr. Rebates.
I can get them elsewhere for a total of $38.49. And the rebate amount with Mr. Rebates is 8%.
This is the norm. Very, very rarely is anything cheaper on QVC if it's sold in retail.
Yesterday Philosophy and Tarte both had 30% off at their websites. Why would you order that stuff from Q?
I ordere my fair share from QVC but it's items you can't find elsewhere because the pricing here just isn't competitive.
You just don't get it. Many of us, probably most QVC shoppers don't CARE if we can find those shoes somewhere else for $11 less. We don't look for cheaper prices because the prices we pay at QVC or Amazon are perfectly okay with us. We haven't the time or the engergy to sit around all day scouting coupons and cheaper prices. We are much more interested in convenience and we prefer to shop with a retailer we know. Life isn't all about money.Of course "life isn't all about money". But managing money well makes for a much better life with more opportunities and experiences to enjoy and more security. No one needs to "sit around all day" scouting discounts and deals. Nowadays you can do a price comparison quickly and easily on Google or any number of online shopping sites. I simply can't imagine just paying whatever a familiar retailer asks without checking for better buys! Especially when it's demonstrated over and over that you get less for your money there and when it's so quick and easy to shop around.
You are free to overspend all you want, but I'll continue to shop around and using my money as efficiently and wisely as I can -- and sharing what I learn with others who are interested in saving. I'll be the lady who bought two pairs of shoes for what you spent on one!
So basically, she's stupid for not shopping the same way that you do.
Why do you care so much on how she decides to spend her own money?
So, you find "better deals". Goody for you.
Sometimes people just are not interested in "getting a deal".
And that is their right to do just that. People should not be judged because they don't spend their money in a way that you don't care for.
"Stupid"? "Judged"? Are we a little defensive, maybe? No one called anyone "stupid"; I simply don't share the stated approach to the use of money and the approach to shopping. I want to budget, shop around, use my resources thoughtfully, get the most for my money.......and some others apparently don't care about that. As is their right! All of us are totally free to decide how to spend our money, what's important to us -- and to state our opinions about such issues.
I'll never understand people who are so insecure in their positions that they get all bristly and huffy when other people don't agree with them. I give you my blessing to go out today and spend all the money you want on the least valuable thing you can find, with the highest shipping and handling charge possible. It's your money, not mine. GO for it!
