Most trends and styles are decided seasons ahead to be manufactured, shipped, etc. By the time time clothing gets to us, the companies have already finished 2 seasons ahead of what we'll be seeing in stores and online.

 

BTW, my family is in the clothing manufacturing business. I grew up hearing all this in meetings and looking at samples.
