Anything else my back will let me do. For the first time in a few years I was able to put my pants on standing up LOL that's a major milestone BTW.  Establishing a new family practitioner for the first time since March. I'll go see dad while I'm out. Sure miss my chauffeur though. Hair and makeup are pretty much spot on but I could be "blind"😉 31% humidity in balmy East Texas. Slept with my window open last night. Life is better! Used my trial size of O/S aerosol makeup setting spray. I like the way it goes on, I'll let you know how it works. Later ladies

I'm glad you are able to put on your pants while standing up!  As you said that is a major milestone and it is a step forward toward feeling better!!!!  Hope you continue to improve and have positive outcomes with your health and well being.

@monicakm, You're on your way!!!    I'm still having problem with lower back and sciatica. I haven't been driving my Pilot for over 2 months. Have Dr's appt first of Oct. Have discussed with my daughter. She is an R.N. ( ALSO MED MAL DEFENSE lawyer) but she would like Dr's op. She is not in favor of back surgery. I'm just ugly and discouraged. Surely I can put up with pain. There are many people much worse off then me. My problem is I HATE feeling useless. I'm sorry to bore you after all you been through. Thrilled you were able to stand when putting pants on. I an sitting on side of bed putting mine on.Hope your dad is doing well. Still STORMIN HEAVEN FOR YOU!! Think I may order a new perfume todat Not Black Orchid or Princess. Something fresh Not flowery .Need your help. Daughter just called. Have you ever taken Neurontin for your back and sciatica pain?  This drug is not without it's unwanted side effects but sometimes it's just something we have to live with.  For me, Neurontin causes cognitive issues with remembering/recall.    Ironic since one of the things I take it for is my MS which also messes with my cognitive.  Today, my entire body (and brain) are numb.  I couldn't survive without Neurontin.

Your daughter is a RN and a defense attorney?  Wow!  How does that work?  Does she practice both at the same time?  Alternate days/weeks or months?  What does she prefer?  What part of TX will your daughter be traveling to?

I'm afraid of back surgery too.  I'm going to talk to my new Dr next month about PT.  If he writes a prescription, I'll have to talk to my PT guy about being able to help my back without irritating my sciatica.  Not sure that's even possible.  I have always stood to put my undies and pants on and when my knee issues started, that changed.  I remember one day after completing PT for my knee, I tried it for the first time.  Major fail.  I fell

My chauffeur is still working.  He won't say "no" when he gets calls.  He agreed to let me mark Tues as "unavailable" on the Google calender that his clients have access to.  It's a start.
