Sorry for the many posts. Got server error from the Q. As we don't know everything about the virus, I would still want the doctor monitored.

Why are you repeating this?
According to the hospital - he will never get this strain of ebola again. It is not coming back. He is not infectious. He can go back to being a medical professional.
"After a rigorous course of treatment and testing we have determined, in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and state health departments, that (Brantley) has recovered from the Ebola Virus Disease and he can return to his family, to his community, and to his life without any public health concerns," Dr. Bruce Ribner, director of Emory’s Infectious Disease Unit, said today.
I think something strange was happening with this thread - one of my posts just repeated itself from the previous page and I didn't do it.

Terrier - There's something going on with this site. I only meant one post.

Love Roses, it was obvious that it was a glitch.

How many people did he come in contact with?Ebola is only infectious if you are in the throes of it. Meaning, unless ordinary people came into contact with his blood, vomit, etc., they will not risk.infection. If this were the case. I'm sure those people would have been.contacted and put in quarantine as well.

The countries impacted are suffering shortages of fuel, food and basic supplies because airlines and shipping companies have stopped services to the areas. MSF and WHO said they desperately need medical staff on the ground. The situation is very grim.
An interesting parallel to what is happening here, "Ebola Task Force Officers" are now being used to quarantine the poorest of the neighborhoods in Liberia. These armed officers wearing protective armor and face shields shot live rounds into crowds of protestors and threw tear gas to disperse them.
Exactly. While of course it's wonderful that Dr. Brantly is now well, the situation in these affected countries is a nightmare.

The husband of the female health worker was quarantined when he came back to the USA. He is now past the point where he might have contracted the disease.
