I had horrible foot pain turns out from being barefoot so long during Covid.  I started wearing my Fit Flops around the house and over a couple months my feet recovered.  It was awful, especially bad when I first got up in the morning.

I have flat feet (thanks Dad!) and yes my feet started bothering me about 3 years ago.  I got custom orthotics which I hate.  They are hard as rocks and hurt so much.  Could never get used to them and they only fit in sneakers!  Waste of money.  Now I try to find comfortable shoes which is not easy.  I do feet excerises and find that if I change my footware throughout the day it helps.  Sometimes I just wear heavy socks around the house too. I am sure my biggest problem is arthritis.  My flat feet NEVER bothered me before.

Bad shoes or slippers especially can trigger Sciatica.  I never wear slippers or any shoe without an arch.  I'm tempted because they seem so warm and fuzzy to wear.  Even memory foam shoes.  Shoes with arches in them are expensive and are rarely on sale.  But worth it to keep your feet pain free.  When you're young, you can get away with it.  Not so the older you get.

No, I think it was called Easy Going Repute ... or something like that.  I was fortunate enough to find several pair on Amazon and Ebay, all new, before the inventory diminished.

I called Skechers several times trying to find a few pair .... they couldn't locate anything for me, but I found them elsewhere on my own!

I had plantar fasciitis years ago and went to a podiatrist.  He recommended a specific orthotic at Good Feet ( which I bought and which gave me immediate relied). Since then I periodically go to  a foot spa for reflexology and I've never had a reoccurance of PF.
