R&R...Congratulations for wanting to pick yourself up and move forward, good for you. I know what a loss can do to a person. In 2011 I lost two of my dearest long time friends to breast cancer and am still mourning. One of my friends lived in Las Vegas and she and I were planning to get an apartment and move back to California. We spoke on the phone every single day, sometimes twice a day so the loss goes very deep.

Anyway, I didn't mean to go on and on about me. Please keep us posted as to what you decide to do and I wish you lots of luck in the direction you are taking.

I need some company. It is Spring and I want to be alive again.........I want to take care of my skin and walk.........and do what I need to do. My home is clean but I have been neglecting my skin and face and exercise. It helps me if I know someone is working with me. SO, I thought of this site.......for those that want to join me........and give your suggestions and it makes me accountable.

So today I put in my restasis in my eyes......washed my face....but on my brightening cream and SPF cream and I am going to an appointment and when I come back I am going to have to walk. So who is with me? Thank you.

Hi R and R Smiley Happy

Don't forget to take a multi-vitamin tablet and drink plenty of water. It will help to make your skin glow. Take care!

Hello Lindsays Grandma...........so great to read your post and please this is a place for you to post also........you are not going on and on and I am so so sorry about your friends and that would have been so much fun living together........I hope I can do that when I get 65 or so and we can share the rent and utilities and have more spending and saving money. Bless your heart.....great friends are so hard to come by and loosing one is so very lonely and it takes a piece of our heart...........yes the loss is very deep and some people don't understand about loss when they have other people around them........I am here for you......anytime. You are so sweet and some of the other ladies are precious also.

hello, I would like to know what a good multi-vitamin is..........after I was diagnosed with osteoporosis.......I had to take more calcium and other things for my bones...........so it stopped me taking a multi-vitamin........if you are comfortable to suggest a great mutli-vitamin that would be nice.

Hey R&R, You mentioned how you would like to work at a boutique for free, so I was wondering if you might be interested in checking with any of the local hospitals' volunteer offices in your area to see about volunteering at one of their gift shops. I know you're interested in volunteering, and since you have an interest in boutiques, a hospital gift shop might just be something you'd enjoy. I know the hospital closest to me is always looking for volunteers to work in their gift shop. I always thought it would be a fun volunteer experience, and I'm sure you would learn some new skills (always a great thing!). And, of course, volunteering is always a great thing, too (I know you already know that). Anyway, just a thought.

Stay strong! (((hugs)))

R&R I have been reading your post for many years and know about your brain injury. i always got upset (but never posted) about the way some of the folks here treated you. Some just did not seem to understand what having a brain injury does to someone. At the age of 22 my son was involved in a terrible car accident and ended up with short term memory loss. I understand it all. I saw what he went through and the frustrations he endured. Things that seem like nothing to me was a big deal to my son. Sometimes he repeated the same thing over and over without realizing it. He is now doing a whole lot better and started a computer company and is holding his own. He prefers to work from home because he suffers from anxiety. All in all he is doing well and i am so proud of him. May 23rd makes 11 years since this happened and i thank God everyday that he is alive. All the best to you R&R.

It IS Spring and you ARE alive! Enjoy the beautiful season, and hope you get some relief for both your body and mind- You have been through a lot...

I think being around people would be VERY good for you- I think volunteering, (even if its something you are not sure you LIKe) is a god idea, because it will expose you to new things..

I agree. At least one or two days a week.
