R and R, you are one of my favorite people on these boards, and I always wish you well.

Dealing with a brain injury is so verrrrrrry difficult, I know because my little sis dealt with one for 25 years, but she never gave up learning and challenging herself. She was my hero.

I know you can do anything you set your mind to, it may take longer, but you can do it.

Never give up!

Hello BIG SISTER..........how lovely to hear from you also. I am so so sorry about your sister but you do understand the challenges and how brave she chose to be.......she is a hero and I know she touched many lives........bless her heart and yours for she must not be with you at this time. You are so sweet and thank you for your post. It does take longer and sometimes it is easy to give up and sometimes I push harder.......the Spring is good for me....I see new birth in nature and that makes me happy.........I know I feel like giving up lately but I know I have to press on.....hugs to you.

R&R I'm sorry things are hard for you. Have you thought of using some of your time to volunteer somewhere? Or get involved in a place of worship?

I like your nic Voyager1980............reminds me of a movie with Bette Davis.......thank you for your post. I have tried to volunteer at things I would like but it was not successful.....this is a small town.....maybe something will come up that I will like. I have been searching for a place of worship.......

R&R, Here is something I stumbled upon. I didn't read the whole quiz but it is a personality quiz that is supposed to help direct you on what type of volunteer work would be good for you. It might be worth it to take and see what pops up for you.

R & R - Congratulate yourself for wanting to 'do' something instead of just giving up. Whatever that other disease, it will get better once you have your plan and your goal. Have you thought of being a representative for cosmetics where you visit the ladies at their homes, hotel parties, etc.? Maybe that's an avenue. Demos at churches or other social functions? Exercise is good, gets the whole attitude of life up and going. Will check out the site you mentioned. Best to you.

R&R, I know you have a brain injury but I wasn't aware of that you were suffering from another disease. What is the other disease? I totally understand if you do not want to answer, I just thought maybe you had already told but I missed it.

lulu2...........I am using that plane ticket to see my grandbaby next month for 24 days.......I am going to see what can be done in Houston.......that way I have a place to stay for free.

I did not know you were still going to Texas. The last I read you were not going.

Houston has excellent healthcare. One of my nephews went to medical school there.
