We have cable but we also have smart tv's so we watch cable and we stream, depending on what we want to see.

I use directTV for a few regular channels I like, but the prices (since ATT took them over) are way out of whack. (They took over DirecTV, which I was happy with, about a year ago.)
I will be perhaps moving soon, but if my house doesn't sell for the price I need here, I will look to replacing the service, as it has about tripled in price since I enrolled, having been acquired by the rapacious AT&T.
If I can't move due to low estimates on my house, I will just stay here and stream. I don't need a lot of channels, only use about a half dozen right now, at most. But I an addicted to Perry Mason episodes from the 1950s--and old movies also, on TCM.

We stream everything.
We use YouTubeTV.
I'm not going to lie, I do miss cable but it too expensive. We use Fios for the internet and our home phone, combined with YouTube it's $140 a month compared to $257 for the cable company.
What I have noticed, none of the commercials for FIOS or Optimum even advertise TV anymore. It's only internet and mobile services.

Satellite TV has been our viewing option since 1999. I think my girls may have Netflix and Roku.

we still have one of the top tier cable packages through comcast xfinity.....cable, phone, internet. we are not anywhere near being close to letting it go. this is part of our monthly "entertainment budget" and we dont go to the movie theaters much anymore. the service is great, its the cable boxes that really add up.
we also have, use, and share some of the free AND paid streaming platforms including disney+, paramount+, hulu, amazon prime, netflix, and more.
yes, one of the worst things about using the free or paid streaming platforms is difficulty toggling back and forth between shows when you are watching on a tv.

DirecTV with whole-house Genie. I get local channels on it. Bad weather is no longer a concern b/c it now it has a feature were you just click through to view the channel you're watching on streaming if the satellite goes out. Only problem with that is you lose your recording during the satellite outage...nbd.

I stream and I have more channels then I could ever watch. My living room tv is a ROKU TV. I have (Roku,Hulu Live, Amazon Prime, Disney+) and a few others.
In my bedroom I use the Fire Stick, on that TV.I have everything listed above plus, Tubi tv, Freevee, and Philo. there is just so much out there nowadays. A lot of it is free.
I receive all of my channels including local thru HULU Live.
