Haven't been close enough to hosts, newscasters, or starlets to sniff them. Nor do I know what self-tanner smells like. Nor do I care.

Some have a smell when you first put them on but after bathing or showering no more smell. I use them and many others I know do and there is no smell after bathing or showering. Some of the cheaper ones maintain a stronger smell though but I'm sure the stars don't go to Walmart for their tans!!! I also would sooner smell a little self tanner smell than heavy perfumed scents that so many wear.

My suggestion: If you want to look orange, eat a whole lot of carrots or drink a huge amount of carrot juice. My friend turned orange once....
