Do you spend more with coupons?

I have a twenty dollar coupon for merchandise in Lord and Taylor's that costs forty dollars or more. It is burning up my wallet and I am just too tired to make the trip. I think I spend more money using coupons anyway and maybe next year will stop using them.

How about you? Do you think coupons end up making us spend more money in the end? Or do you think they save you money?
