Only Amazon. I get all my canned goods in bulk by subscription. Big savings over stores.

Re: Do you shop at stores that you can buy things in bulk?

yes, Costco & BJ's

80% Costco

20% BJ'

Costco:

like others have said, not everything is in bulk.

frozen blueberries & strawberries (organic), greek yogurt, butter, eggs, egg whites, TP, PT, cereal, avocado spray, tuna fish, deodorant, snacks, Traeger pellets, produce, salmon.

we bought our 55" TV at Costco, you get an extra year warranty from them.

BJ's:

applegate bacon

'salad cheese'

stevia in the raw packets

rotisserie chicken

american cheese - they have a deli

i would rather spend a little more & not have to go as often than run around to multiple stores more often to save $$.  TBH, i don't know if i am spending more.  i know i am saving on gasoline at the very least.

Re: Do you shop at stores that you can buy things in bulk?

just talking about this today with my son -- during Covid spouse joined & we have memberships to Costco, Sams & BJs.  They are all coming up for renewal in February.  I haven't been in these stores in a long time -- the closest is hour away.  Seems now like a waste of $$ as I won't buy bulk anything now that I'm alone.

I may keep my Sams because sometimes I find there are things I need in there: toiletries, snacks (when I host cards & bunco) or have company for dinner.

Re: Do you shop at stores that you can buy things in bulk?

I don't. I don't need to buy in bulk and don't have that kind of pantry storage in my condo. Plus Costco isn't close by in either direction to me. Neither is BJ's (a New England option here in CT)

I follow Bobby Parish of Flav City on social media and he certainly shows a lot of good buys at Costco, and also doesn't seem like everything now offered is jumbo size only.

But like I said I'm not that near to one, and I feel, like many say they do...it'd be one of those stores I'd just "overbuy" at.

But everyone's needs are different. I do believe the prices can be good. I've seen that Bobby talk about many particular items and brands for better pricing than I get at my regular groceries. But still not that big a deal for me on most things.

I'm at a stage of life, I want my shopping experience to be hassle free & enjoyable. I shop in a very clean, well stocked family grocery store. I feel fortunate that this gem is close to my home. They have real cashiers (who have been there for many years & are friendly). There are at least 3 lanes open at all times. During busy times they immediately open more registers.  I can ask anyone who works there a question & they're helpful. The wine department is huge & the men who work there know wine.  It's a large store, where I can find any kind of fresh produce I want. They have an amazingly large deli. Does it cost more? Yes, but I believe in keeping this family in business. If they go, I'm stuck with Kroger & Target. The Kroger by me is so dirty! So no, I'm not interested in bulk stores. I did Sam's Club when my kids were little. Even then I don't think I shopped there enough to justify my membership cost.

I have both Sam's Club and Costco 10 minutes from my house. We choose to use Costco. It's just the two of us but we go there about every 3-4 weeks. We buy gas, car wash, gift cards to restaurants at 20% discount, nuts, paper products, meats, sometimes fruit, cat litter, vitamins. Not everything is in bulk. Love Costco. After we are done shopping we have a gourmet lunch of either a hotdog and drink or pizza and a drink. Where else can 2 people eat lunch for under $6.00.

Not necessarily Costco or Sam's but yes I do have lots of shelf storage

in my basement.

I have never run out of tissues, paper towels, toilet tissue, laundry

detergent. I do share everything with my daughter in college in her

own apartment.

We have belonged to Costco for quite some time. At one time it was useful as I purchased for my parents and my in laws and then when one of my sisters moved back to the US because she was sick and needed items.

Since both sets of our parents have passed and my sister is doing so much better and she has moved to another state with her husband and daughter-- it is just my husband and myself. We are contemplating perhaps discontinuing the membership. Would save some money.
