Yes I send Christmas cards and I try to write a note to everyone in them. It is something I enjoy doing and it is a traditional way of letting friends and family know I am thinking of them.

I've said this before..after years of owning a Hallmark card and gift shop..I was always a card person..Taught my kids to read cards and that the card you chose..has to fit the person you are sending it to..just don't grab and send.

I've gotten some real doozies from my kids..and the fit at the time..

Now that I'm long retired..I still send quite a few cards and if they are not Hallmark..I'd never hear the end of it!

I seem to send out fewer and fewer Christmas Cards each year. Now I send them only to people who send them to us.

My situtation is the same as most of you, I still send them but not nearly what I used to send. I mailed 20 cards this year on Dec 3 and have received seven so far. I enjoy it and I'm sad that it seems to be becoming a lost tradition for many. I'll most likely keep it going but not sure for how long.

@amyb Your post cracked me up as I don't care for those life update letters either, LOL,

just send me a short note and I'm good.

I have sent Christmas cards out my entire adult life. I sent fewer this year. And this will be my last year for cards I think. I didn't really feel like sending them this year, but I already had the cards so I did.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I still send cards but the list is getting shorter due to People passing. As far as postage, I stopped mailing the ones to people that live in my town and just hand deliver them and place them in their mailbox since I'm out running errands anyways.
