Remember Allen Sherman singing that song?

I remember singing it but don't remember much else about it.  I didn't know about the board game.  I always assummed it came from the Dr. Demento radio show.

Oh yeah! As soon as I read the title, the song popped into my head.  Guess I'll be hearing it all day now. Smiley LOL

I do remember it!  I was a little, little kid, but a song like that burrows into your memory bank forever.

I also remember that "meatball" song. Sort of in the same vein. Maybe it was the same singer.

"On top of spaghetti,

all covered with cheese...

I lost my poor meatballl,

when somebody sneezed.

Now, ask me what 9 x 9 is. I couldn't tell you.

@Linda0215

I was traumatized by that song, this verse

It rolled off the table,
And on to the floor,
And then my poor meatball,
Rolled out of the door.

Being a southern girl the thoughts of this and the possible reality of it actually happening was so unacceptable. I never would have anything to do with meatballs.  When I was a teen I went with a friend to our favorite pizza place. She ordered a meatball sandwich and tried to get me to order one...Nope, no no no!!!!!!Woman Embarassed never!!!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I liked meatballs, so the only trauma I experienced was a meatball gone to waste!

Sure do! I sing it to my parents when I dust their wedding picture that sits on our dresser.
