Do you remember Wolfman Jack?

[ Edited ]

Howling, on the radio? Late night radio rhythm & blues...

I was young hard for me to remember, but I do remember listening to him!

For some reason I just thought of him.

"Midnight Special" something like that I remember?

He had a very distinct voice, very gruff like.

Yes! He was really "cool" in His day. Kind of a Beatnik.....I was like 9 or so when he was on TV.

Absolutely!   I also enjoyed him a couple of times when he played himself, or another character, in movies.  I especially remember the bit he did in 'American Graffiti'.   Great movie for a number of reasons but he was really cool in his part.

Remember him well. He was even on some of records talking right before the song. Not sure of the exact years, but I am thinking more that it was the 1950's-early 1960's. He had a very unique voice for sure. For those who don't know him, I am speaking of a DJ voice, not his singing.

I just looked him up. I didn't know he had died in 1995...or maybe I just don't remember.

Awww Smiley Sad  I hadn't remembered either.  Upon seeing this thread I was hoping that he was still around.   Can't keep up anymore!

Yes!   I was just a kid, back then, kids didn't have tvs in their bedrooms.  I remember listening to him when I was up really late doing homework or reading.  I remember that gravelly voice...
