I get tired of the concise and snarky posts that people retort with, because they don't read the longer posts, and have really no idea where the topic and discussion are going.
I do read those posts.
I tend to look at it as everyone has something important to say.
Some people may not have taken typing classes, and may be doing their best at trying to get their thoughts across.
I'm just glad to see people post, and trying to do their best!

I like to break up my own posts, so that I can see how I am typing them. It's my own personal preference, as I cannot see as well as I used to.

@DiAnne wrote:I usually lose interest in the very long posts - I might skim them. Also the posts with several quotes in them are difficult to decipher. If I run into a couple of places where the moderators have deleted posts I just quit the thread because the rest of it often does not make sense.
Good point about the times when as many posts have been deleted as remain. I have tried to follow several of these kinds of threads, and they really didn't make much sense, there was so much deleted.
They'd be better to just take it down, as it does a disservice to not only the OP but anyone else who was responding to things that are no longer there.

Like others, I detest multiple quotes.
I will agree that the mulitple posts get tiresome, but often, when people reply without them, and the thread has been very long and has lots of participants, it is misunderstood just who they are directing their comment to. Even if they note who, sometimes it isn't clear just which post they are responding to.
It can be complicated either way.

I hate long quotes. I find it easier to @mention that person At least it is much better than the old format. sometimes when a conversation got heated or excited, the quotes from one post could take an entire thread. People used to quote the entire conversation!!! Now we have hearts to acknowledge someone, say hi, or agree, and we have the @ feature! I like BOTH of those!

I don't need 25 words to spread fertilizer, but thanks for disclosing your method of separating fact from fiction.
