Get to the point and use paragraph breaks people.

I also skip the quoted posts.  By the time you have 5 or 6 quoted posts, it's too hard to figure out who said what...

If no paragraphs, usually no.  If broken into paragraphs, I'll start to read it.  If it's interesting and stays on point I read through.  If it starts meandering, repeating and throwing in a bunch of what I call "great I am" claims to attempt to elevate their opinion as some sort of expert, I'm done.

It depends on the topic, the OP, and the size of the font.
