If I am going to respond and participate in the thread, it is imperative, I think, to read those posts.
I get tired of the concise and snarky posts that people retort with, because they don't read the longer posts, and have really no idea where the topic and discussion are going.

Usually, no. It depends on the topic and whether there are paragraph breaks and the font size.

I feel sorry for people who feel they must respond to a perfectly friendly post with sarcastic and snarky remarks. They seem to follow me around the forums.
Hopefully, they will get help with their troubles that make them unhappy.

Not very often. If it goes on too long I tune out. Many times it's the " right fighters" who get windy! I move on!

I would not comment on a post I haven't read.

It depends on my level of interest in the topic and on how articulate, despite the length, the post appears to be. If it's a topic in which my interest is marginal, usually not.

It depends on how well it is formatted and written. . If it is hard to read I will skip it.

Whether or not I read them depends on a few different things. One, are there paragraph breaks? If not then usually no. Another factor is if I'm finding the post interesting and then finally, is what this person saying been said before in another post I may have already read on the thread.
I don't mind long wordy posts, I tend toward being wordy myself but I try to keep it as pithy and as interesting as possible and I don't repeat myself and I don't repeat myself...lol.
