Yes..because I can become 'winded' making long posts many times myself. I also have learned a lot from others by reading thier long, and winded posts.
I tend to go off on tangents once in awhile too...which I am sure at times helps others with added info...

I will read a very long post if it's a topic that interests me or if it was written by a member whose posts I generally enjoy reading.

Seldom will I read a long wordy post. A long post broken into meaningful paragraphs is another story. I feel in a forum like this it is best to try and make a point with fewerra there then more words, don't need the history of whatever the subject may be.
But a lot of my posts "are history"? Can't give suggestions to those looking for help, without myself and/or the poster, giving/knowing the history, right?

NO. I hate it when someone doesn't get to the point.

Some folks are just too impatient to read long posts - not sure what length a post is supposed to be to be considered "long" or "wordy" anyway.
If a discussion is on a topic I'm familiar with, I can be "wordy" but that is a perception based on the reader. I'm sharing my knowledge; and if it is a topic I'm not familiar with I do read what somebody has to contribute. I know some posters have expertise in certain fields; others are just adept at Google. LOL
So sometimes it's just a matter of topic and poster.

Never if it's one long paragraph. I will read an organised post with paragraphs if the information is needed to elicit thoughtful responses. If the poster is rambling or incoherent, no.
