No, its against the law just like decaffinated coffee is lol!

But I have seen people do it!

Love watermelon. Probably buy 5 or more throughout the summer.

Never once put salt on it. Never even thought or heard such an idea.

Would gross me out and ruin the delicious watermelon.

I love the salty and sweet combination but, to me, salt on watermelon sounds gross, lol. I know people who put it on theirs. I've also seen people put salt on cantaloupe and vanilla ice cream in the center of a cantaloupe, after you scoop out the seeds. Those sound disgusting too.

Equally as gross, my dad gets a canned pear and puts a huge dollop of mayo in the middle and tops it with sharp cheddar cheese. He's from Georgia and apparently that "treat" isn't unusual there. YUKK to all of the above.
