Nope, there's a fee for credit card payments. No fee with direct debit, but I can't quite bring myself to allow that. So I go the IRS website, print off a blank copy of the 1040-V (for yearly filing) or 1040-ES (estimated taxes) voucher, and mail a check. Boom. Easy. Put your SSN and the year you want the payment credited to on your check as well as on the voucher so they match up.

Nope.  Our's is too complicated.  We always have an accountant do it.  In addition to state and fed, we pay quarterly taxes, property taxes, income for stock market, etc.  You name a tax, we pay it.
