This is my husband ... I tell him that's what housekeeping is for, but he doesn't listen. However, he's content to let it stay unmade at home ... don't understand this concept.

Re: Do you make your bed everyday?

I saw on a health type show, in a segment about bed hygiene (sheet washing, bed bugs, etc.), that it's actually healthier to pull the covers down on your bed for the daytime to allow your bed to air out. Going from being in your bed to covering it with layers of bedding allows lots to breed under there! {#emotions_dlg.crying}

Oh no! I feel a lot of itching and scratching coming on! I hope this isn't true, but logically makes sense. Can't win for losing.

Re: Do you make your bed everyday?

Not any more. (I used to). I am hurting in the morning. I do straighten up the covers some on my side. Picture this, we have a king bed (too big IMO). DH uses a quilt. I use a sheet cover and a blanket. I start out making the bed with the sheet cover over both of us with his quilt over his side, my blanket over my side..lol. The following morning the sheet cover is totally on my side (or sometimes on the floor due to DHs tossing and turning). I got sick of making the bed. So we wash bedding every week and I fix it up and the next days its dismantled so I just fix my side from then on till the next washing, so I can hop in bed later. No one goes in our bedroom anyway. The door is kept closed from the cats also.

Me, too. (Also straighten up the room in the hotel before we go out for the day). I make the bed at home every day because even though the rest of the room could be spotless, if the bed is unmade the whole room looks messy.

Yes, I make the bed every day, and also change sheets once a week. I don't like to walk by the room and see the bed unmade.
