It's just not a color I can warm up to either in clothing or in decor. It is a good neutral to go with a lot of warm colors like red and orange and light blue, but I just go meh and look to see what other choices there are.

I like brighter green colors better but I do like olive too.  It works for certain things like you said as a neutral such as purses for me.

Some shades of olive are very beautiful.  Even in decor.  It all depends on the tint/shade of olive.  And, of course, the color it appears to our individual eyes.  Some eyes see various greens differently, or so I've heard (years ago).  Don't know how true that is, though, now-a-days.   ......... On me, as long as the olive isn't too 'yellow-ish', I like it.  Even though I've always loved some of those chartreuse colors on other people, and in scarves!  Love the word: 'Chartreuse'.   So French-chic.......

For some, it depends if they are a "Summer"   "Winter"   "Spring"  or  "Autumn" person  .... analyzing skin tones, eyes, etc.  

I'm an Autumn, and any cool colors wash me out completely!  OLIVE IS PERFECT.

I love olive green. It's goes well with my hazel green eyes and skin tone.  I wish I had more in that color.  For years I was looking for an olive green cardigan sweater.  The color wasn't in style I guess.  It seems to be making a comeback.

Of all the colors in the galaxy, this would go down as my absolutely positively LEAST favorite.

I'm not sure what it is, although I have one idea, but this color feels like an assault to my eyes.

Good thing there are lots of colors, eh?    Choices - always good.

I believe that I'm a Winter, but I do wear some shades of Olive because I like them.  As long as WE like the color on ourselves.  Others like purple on me (lots of compliments), but I'm not crazy at all about purple. ('Kind of' makes me feel queasy.)  (Lavender, yes!)

Yes, I do.  I have reddish hair & green eyes, it's a good color for me + It's always been a favorite.

Especially like it with burgundy or navy accents - clothing.  And with red or yellow in decorating.
