Heard this on the news tonight. 

Stockton is located near Atlantic City. The university acquired oceanfront property right in Atlantic City and built a mini campus there.

Atlantic City casinos need summer workers. Current Stockton undergraduates can apply for this program:

-Stockton will arrange for an appropriate summer job or internship at one of the casinos.

-Students get FREE room and board at the beachfront dorm for three months.

-Students must complete a free online course on career readiness and they then receive four college credits.

-Any other summer courses they take will be given a 20% tuition discount.

Sounds really good to me.

I use to.  Students who took "gambling" courses stayed at Showboat.  Stockton use to hold clases at the hotel but no longer.

Only part of it is for student dorms, part for "hotel" guests, & thte rest are apartments and condos for rent.

Showboat has the largest arcade in N.J.  It's being investigated to determine if the arcade is the largest in the US.

Showoat is also the home to a water park that is the largest indoor beachfront water park in the world.  When I was in AC a few weeks ago, the water park was packed to the gills as well as the bars inside the water park.
