Yes, in order, 5s to 20s, from front to back. 1s are in a separate section and used mostly as tip $$.

Once in a while I take the crumpled, folded, disorganized mess and arrange it nicely, vowing to keep it that way. Within a day or two it is a crumpled, folded, disorganized mess.

Having worked in a bank for years....my bills are always in order...I fold my bills...with the singles showing..larger bills underneath...all of them facing forward...in the same direction...

I may start out the day with the bills all lined up according to denomination but when I get home they are all jumbled up.
Same here. I go out with them all in order and facing the same way. When I get home everything is a mess and I have to fix them again. I blame it on the cashiers who hand you your change all in a lump. Rather than taking the time to place the bills carefully in my wallet, I shove everything in so I can get out of the way for the next customer.

Yes I do! Many years ago I met an elderly customer at my p/t job; she had apologized for taking a long time to put her bills away "in just the right order." That made perfect sense. But then she told me she would take the older, wrinkled bills out to iron them. I thought she was wacky. One day I tried it. Whaddya know?! She wasn't so wacky after all. (Experimentation aside, I am not bothered enough to iron them, but I do get rid of the icky bills first.)

Yes my bills go from smallest denomination to largest.
I also have the letters before the serial no.s in alphabetical order
I'm not really overly OC
The Sunday School class started collecting J dollars (ones only) so there would be more money for projects and treats for the little ones. I just started putting them in order while searching for the J dollars. The ones are the only ones in alphabetical order.

I worked as a cashier at the most popular drive-in restaurant in our city when I was 14. It was mandatory to put all paper money facing the same way/with heads facing the same direction/in the proper slot in the register/smoothed out.
I have not changed and my wife still wonders why I do this. I put the highest denomination in the back of my billfold and work towards the top in proper denominations. Same if I stick money in a roll in my pocket, largest bill on the bottom of the roll.
