@smoochy : You medically need the help and do it. Hopefully you can receive help and suggestions from neighbors or friends that use independent cleaning ladies that will provide better cleaning. If you choose a cleaning service it will be expensive and not that great cleaning.
My friend cleaned houses and she provided excellent cleaning and reasonable price but had to retire due to back issues. She cleaned weekly. I have back issues and can't clean house. My only choice was a cleaning service and I chose the best rated but suppose to cost less. I chose the premium cleaning package for every two weeks $155.They are suppose to clean doors, door frames, baseboards , windows etc. Plus any moping and vacuum. I have 3 bedrooms that they do not clean. They only clean 1 1\2 bathrooms, living room, hall, den, family room / dinning room combined and small kitchen. The hall bathroom is full bathroom and used by guest. I am home when they clean. The last 3 visits they have failed to clean the faucet handles on the bathroom vanities and around the bottom of the toilets. I have told the company manager and sent photos. She told me that she will talk to the ladies and for me not to say anything to them.🙄😯. Of course the two ladies always expecting a tip. They clean for one hour. Last cleaning they also failed to dust the table next to my recliner , and the entertainment center. They are scheduled for Tuesday and they expect the cleaning spaces to be decluttered.Frustrating.

I've had the same "bad" things happen. Left water standing on the counter, forgot to rinse the fixture and the cleaner "etched" it, Never get a corner or close to the baseboard.
They hit the middle and call it clean. Makes you wonder what their home looks like!
I had one walk out "done" and actually walked over dog hair on her way out! I called her back! Later found out she 'washed the dishes' did not 'clean' the dishes and silverware. Good luck!

another quote came in. $350. Nope. I'm rethinking this entire thing based on the cost and the stories I'm hearing about inadequate cleaning and unsanitary practices. Yeesh

I do not and if I ever did, I feel like I would have to cut way back on my expectations. Prior to my knee surgeries I had a cleaning lady two times. Different ladies. I was not impressed with either one of them to say the least. I find it hard to believe they had a following. My mother has had at least four cleaning ladies. She was never happy with any of them. I had a friend that had a cleaning lady every two weeks. She was not impressed with her either. So it sounds like it's hard to find a good one. DH has been helping a lot and cleans house better than I did in my younger years when I could clean house, take care of a toddler, go to the grocery store for a full week of groceries, put them away, and fix dinner for company.... all in one day! How the heck did I do that? The floor maid will be here Monday. I need to come up with a good name for her.

Did she lick the plates and silverware?

You're like me about floors. That's why I'm getting a floor robot that vacuums and mops. It will be here tomorrow. If my floors are clean and everything is where it belongs I can let some of the rest of it slide a bit.
Noooo! Amazon is saying it won't be here until the 12th 😲

My husband is fond of saying I would clean the house before the maid service came...because I am that OCD.

no, I'm not a fussy person, but I like to have homes for my things, so I can hopefully find them when we need them again. While I can physically do it, I will. My husband will help when I ask.
