Everyone has them!  I do have one.  You need a drawer that you can throw in that you don't know where else to put in the first place.

Not only do I have a junk drawer I also have a junk wicker basket next to my chair in the living room.    Filled with the same junk found in the kitchen.

I've tried those small organizers in it, but I end up pushing everything around to find whatever it is I'm looking for,

I don't have enough drawers in the kitchen for a junk drawer!

The big bottom drawer in my master bath is beginning to look like a junk drawer.  Blow dryers, curling irons, a Clarisonic I haven't used in a dozen years all reside there....

@songbird - no, not everyone has one.  I don't.

My kitchen is small so I don't have one in there.  I have a chest of drawers in the hallway and I use one of the drawers in there but I keep it pretty organized and have plastic containers to help with the organization.

@Kachina624   I'm from California and I have a "junk" drawer in my kitchen. I'm sure the OP doesn't speak for all Californians.
