Do you have a hand-crank knitting machine?

I'm looking them over.  Do you have one, any one you'd recommend?  What should I be considering?

Hand crank knitting machine?  This will be interesting.  When I read the question the first thing I thought of was the old fashioned spinning wheel.

@qualitygal Have never seen one and wouldn't want one. I'm 76 and have been knitting for 60 years. Love my needles, wouldn't use anything else.

The circular thing that only makes tubes or the one that you can slide back and forth and make an actual sweater?

@CelticCrafter That's what I'm thinking, although I don't imagine you can make an actual sweater with the one that you slide back and forth, just a long panel.  How would you add the sleeves in?

@Icegoddess you can, there are hooks for the yarn and you can increase or decrease the number of hooks to use.

@Icegoddess

On the one that goes back and forth - you knit individual pieces (front, back, sleeves, etc)  and then you have to sew them together by hand.

I don't know what's available now, but .....

Going back more than 20 years .... aunt had a flat bed knitting machine that had punch cards with different stitch patterns. It took some time to learn how to use the machine, and you could only use fine gauge cone yarns.

It was quite a large machine almost as wide as a piano.

@ALRATIBA Years ago I saw one online with a detailed story about them.
