The Pioneer Woman & David Venable!

That's interesting....I've never seen David cook anything. He just stirs stuff. It also seems like he is not the creator of his recipes because often he doesn't know what the ingredients are and has to ask someone. Glad you enjoy him, though.

@nomless, I have several of his recipes plus his cookbook that I thoroughly enjoy.

@summerwind Justin Wilson was the first cook I ever saw fry a turkey. He did it outside in a big pot on a burner. I remember thinking how delicious it looked.

I love the Pioneer Woman.  I have used several of her recipes and they are all divine.

I'm speaking of a TV chef or cook.  My favorites have always been  popular ones. I have always loved Julia Childe , and Jacque Pepin, and Martha Stewart

Julia sort of blazed a trail for everyone else. She was a bit of a wild card ,and when she was first on Tv ,you never quite knew what to expect from her. She wasn't one bit stuffy

I have always loved Jacque Pepin for his kindness, as well as his food. I love to see him with his granddaughter. She is the apple of his eye, and you can just see how much he loves her. I like to hear him him talk about his mother's restaurant, in France, and  see him with his friend  John Claude.

I really like Martha because, she is a wonderful teacher, and always makes something original ,and different from the rest. I really liked her with her mother, who was a wonderful cook

There are others I enjoy, but these 3 are my favorites

FYI it’s

Jacques Pepin

Julia Child

If they are your favorites, you should know the correct spellings of their names.

Ina Garten, otherwise known as the barefoot contessa.

@tansy  Agree....  LOVE INA.  I have all of her cookbooks, and make so many of her recipes. Not a bad one in the bunch...   from soups, meats to desserts.  She's fabulous.

Re: Do you have a favorite chef or cook?

One of the best meals I have ever had was in a small restaurant in Salem Mass, Firenze Trattoria. The chef is Zamir Kociaj. I do not know if he has been on TV. Smiley Happy

I love watching Lidia Bastianch. I have made many of her recipes.

The same with Rachel Ray and Giada De Laurentiis. I have made many of their recipes also.

Not exactly a fan of Bobby Flay, I did have a great meal at one of his restaurants in Las Vegas.
