Re: Do you ever worry about going to the movies?

No, I have no problems going to the movies. My husband doesn’t go so 99.99% of the time I go alone.

I always go to the first show of the day which, at the theater closest to me, is noon or 1:00.  The last movie I saw, a few weeks ago, there were 7 of us in the theater.

The only thing I do now, which I never used to, is look to see where the exit is in case I have to make a quick exit.

I worry about enough things things in my life. My husband's health issues and what the future might look like with that, the state of the world, my health, stuff like that. I don’t want to stop doing things and just stay home all the time.  So I go to movies, shopping at various stores, errands, out to lunch with my husband or friends. Just live my life.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I really never did until lately. We always go to an early movie that is about 2/3 empty

I am thinking about the new Panther movie, and just read some  person went to the flicks, looking to settle a score ,and shot the hitting the ceiling, trying to hit the intended victims

Even if you didn't get a direct hit, couldn't a bullet ricochet ,and still hit you?

It was a women!  Sheesh...they got her, thank goodness

I wonder why you singled out Black Panther.  After the massacre at the movie theater in Colorado that would have deterred you from ever stepping foot in a theater.  The bottomline in the world we live in no public is truly safe.  If you want to see movie go see the movie.

Because Black Panther is the movie she said she was thinking of seeing.

@cherry  Please provide a link to the story/article.   Better yet, copy paste the article here.

Intended victims & shooting wildly are apple & oranges.

I don’t go to movie theaters, malls or anywhere there are large crowds .... I am fine with this & have not missed it at all .... the world has gone crazy & I don’t want to become a victim 🙃

Re: Do you ever worry about going to the movies?

rarely go to a movie, i fall asleep most of the time. I 99.9% of the time go with my husband, he keeps jarring me awake.

I have never been frightened going to the movie even when I would go alone.

Re: Do you ever worry about going to the movies?

I love to go to the movies but unfortunately there are not many movies I am interested in seeing.  I don't enjoy violence or si-fi.  The last movie I went to see was The Post.   I feel safe going to the movie theaters in the area where I live.
