Re: Do you ever think You have Symptoms? Covid19? Corona Virus?

Gosh, it seems like about half the people here think they might have had it and are doing okay now.

Re: Do you ever think You have Symptoms? Covid19? Corona Virus?

Yesterday I had a very mild hot flash, recognized it and almost went back to sleep. Then the dingbat part of my brain announced, "THIS IS HOW IT BEGINS." I had to talk myself down and read a fiction book for half an hour to get past it.

And I'll admit this here, since none of you know me in real life I think. Every time I wash my hands, I sniff really hard to make sure I can smell the scent of the soap as normal. It's like a little check to make sure I can still smell. I'm a nut.

When I awake from a deep sleep, I have a hot flash.

Women apparently from what I have read, recover from this virus; men, it's a toss up.

Re: Do you ever think You have Symptoms? Covid19? Corona Virus?

I think it's perfectly natural to think that you may feel symptoms for this virus coming on...this whole situation causes anxiety.  I keep feeling hot on and off and think maybe a fever?  But no, just a hot flash!  I even think when my anxiety is higher, it affects my appetite, can cause a headache, make me feel "off" as someone prior had mentioned.  So I'm working on controlling anxiousness by watching the news less, going outside and getting fresh air, and pushing negative thoughts OUT and trying to bring pleasant, calming thoughts IN!  Let's say I'm still a "work in progress!"

Re: Do you ever think You have Symptoms? Covid19? Corona Virus?

My friend called me I knew something going on with her, she had a bad cold months ago said she felt weak went to dr. he said you have pneumonia got antibiotics well getting worse, family dr. closed office but does on line. No fever but so weak & really bad diarrhea's didn't want to go to ER went to Urgent care took the test said we will call you in a few days no call she called so many times got voice mail left messages no answer called her Dr. he got mad called the lab,him on video she tested positive. She said no fever so weak & diarrhea so bad she had to wear depends. She prayed to God to take her. Lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks. She wasn't in pain but weak she fell twice during this. Never felt this sick in her life. So she called me said I am doing better but she is worried about her husband, said some friends saying they are tired & not right. She lives in Pa. Someone she knows died & his wife is feeling not well. Seems everyone doesn't get the fever but can have it. She has a few more days then a home health care worker will come in her house retest to see if it is gone. Still weak but able to move around & diarrhea has almost gone.

No, don't want to become an alarmist.  If you think you have the virus, call your doctor.

Rule of thumb: if you are feeling chills, it means your body temperature is rising. If you are perspiring after having a fever, it means your body temperature is going down.
