no, i never order off of the kids menu.
i enjoy having my leftovers OR my kids enjoy eating my leftovers.
have never heard of half sized portions, but HAVE ordered lunch size portions at a chinese food restaurant or at a local seafood restaurant. even if i ordered those i still have leftovers.

I find it helpful to request a take home container as soon as my meal is brought to me. I then carefully transfer about 60% of my meal into it and set it aside. This way I am not tempted to overeat while I wait for the other diners to finish and when I bring it home it is still appealing and not picked over leftovers.

Depends on the restaurant, I have found that most do not let adults order from the kids menu.
I would like to order from the kids menu sometimes but I have found that when I order food, what I cannot eat almost always comes home with me...it's great for another meal and the calories are worked in over several days. Enjoy your lunch.

I never have but I don't think I've ever seen anything that appealed to me. I just order regular meals and then take home all the extra for one or two more meals, as I cannot eat all that much.
I like it when one meal can be two or more meals for the one-meal price.

No but I probably should. I had a gastric bypss 20something years ago and I don't eat much. I think some restaurants have age restrictions on kids' meals. It's certainly worth asking. Restaurant portions are huge and getting hugher all the time.

Most kids menus are comprised of chicken nuggets, hamburgers and hotdogs. I’d rather have more adult food.

Fast Food places are pretty much the only places you can order from the kids menu since they have no idea if you are taking it home to your kid or now.

Depends on the restaurant whether they allow those under 12 to order from the kid’s menu. I always order a kids meal when we eat at a Mexican food place we like...it’s the same food as the regular menu but you get less... but it’s plenty. Most other places only offer chicken nuggets or grilled cheese, etc....no thanks! We don’t eat out very often, but DH and I often split an entree or Inwill take half home...but you have to make sure and order something that will reheat well.
