I love these this!
Not to go off topic, but there is a website, Anne Taintor, that has cards and such with retro photos and sayings like this.
So funny!

@qvcaddition , how great is that! I am active five days a week. I don't love exercise but do it for health reasons. I am mid 60's. I also do it to keep up with my garden work which can require stamina and strength. I have a large property.
We just spent 10 days cleaning up brush and felled trees after Dorian. This after our clean up crew was a no show. Dragging large tree parts uphill for disposal, moving and stacking wood. Heavy work I would never be able to do unless I was in shape. So in some ways my garden is my inspiration to keep fit. I love to swim, walk, do light weights and Pilates. LM

You are proof that it is important to exercise. I,m sorry you had to go through Dorian.. Here we had the 2017, 2018, and recently last month, the fires in Ca. My son,s home almost burned. The fire fighters and National guard saved every home after the evacuations. They literally had a firefighter and truck in every driveway.. His town was saved. My hairdresser lives in the same town and the fire was in her backyard, but they saved her house. God bless the firefighters and first responders.
Gardening is exercise. Just moving, because some people can,t do a lot.

@dex You also, keep up what you are doing. You have a lot of good years ahead. Life is precious. Make the most of everyday. When I turned 70, I got sad. for a week and then said, at least I,m here and healthy. That,s why I went back to school. Keep the mind going.
How at 83, a new adventure. Always reinvent yourself if you can.
Happy life and keep up your routine.

I used to think that too, that I hadn't found the right fitness center or the right machines or the right classes or I wasn't going at the right times. All I did was waste a whole lot plans and make myself feel bad. The fact is that that everyone is different and while some people love working out and they make it a part of the life. There are others who simply don't like it, we get no enjoyment or satisfaction out of it and that doesn't change over time. Yes indeed, moving our modies and being active is important for good health and for our emotional well being but we have to find the thing that works for us. For me it's walking and that works for 3/4 of the year. I still have figure out what I am going to to in Dec/Jan/Feb. Something indoors that I will actually do 4 or 5 days a week.
Just a suggestion. Leslie Sansome,(sp?), has walking indoor DVD,s. Two and 5 miles one combine and maybe more up to date one from mine.

I may have already answered this, not sure. Anyways as to your thread title question? Yes, I enjoy exercising and have done it on a regular basis for decades(when physically able). Didn't spend thousands of dollars on my many machines, and other equipment to hang my clothes on them.
In half an hour I will be heading 20 miles to the ice rink for my 3 times a week 2 hour skating session. I love skating to the "oldies" music they put on the sound system at the rink. While I was/am a hockey player type of skater, I can skate gracefully(guess anyways), but I do also use this skating as a Max cardio workout. Always wear my chest heart rate monitor.
God I love skating!!!!

@qvcaddition , the fires are devastating. My brother lives in the interior of British Columbia where it seems the fire situation gets worse. Air quality also.
Love your attitude! I feel exactly the same! LM

i don't own any kind of exercise equipment. I do walk 2x's a day 1 mile each time (2 miles a day) 6 days a week year around rain, snow, I walk unless lightening or thundering.
i have been doing this for 2-3 years full time. some days are fun to walk sometimes especially when no neighbors are out walk becomes kind of boring.
