Re: Do you do a price comparison/ check?

I always comparison shop.  QVC is never a bargain.

I always price check and generally go with Amazon.  Not only pricing but generally I can have an item in 2-3 days.

Having said that, I am in the process of downsizing so my buyiing days are not what they used to be.

It is always good to check pricing and that goes for AMAZON too!  I have found SO many times that they are WAY higher than elsewhere!

I ordered Robert Irving protein bars and found them at Wegman's 8 bucks cheaper than Amazon.  This is only ONE example of HIGHER prices on Amazon.  I don't ever need anything in 2 days.

QVC is NOT always the highest.  Their kits and duos for makeup are way less and a better value than Ulta, Sephora, direct websites etc.

I got a beautiful crystal vase for my DD for Christmas here at Q that was $58.

EXACT same vase at Macy's was $159.

Re: Do you do a price comparison/ check?

@RespectLife   I price check about 90% of the time, and for what I buy, QVC has the lowest price.

Electronics are usually found cheaper at other places, but BFD clothing, LocknLock, and the food items that I have purchased are significantly lower at QVC.

I ordered a food item on QVC and just happened to check the website because upon arrival there were no directions. The item was 1/2 of the price and an additional 15% off on the website!  No bargain at QVC!

QVC was also showing a new item a few days ago and I checked Amazon for price comparison- Not only was the price lower by $8, but the shipping was free (saving an additional $6)

THis happens very freqiently!

Yes, Q prices are usually higher.

Do price comparisons now is complicated by shipped charges.  I ordered some furnace filters yesterday and it is harder than just driving over like the old days.

Always -- who has money to waste?  Coupons, free shipping, return policy, extended warranty availability, etc. all come into play when deciding where to spend my money.

I  price check but many people do not...and QVC is selling to THOSE buyers.

Re: Do you do a price comparison/ check?

It depends on what the item is. I don't buy much from the Q any more, and I never order food items, electronics or more expensive household items like vacuum cleaners, etc from them. I buy food from my local grocer, except for things like nuts or a fruit cake from a few companies that I like. I buy beauty items from Walgreens for the most part, although I'll also order a few brands from Macy's when on sale and with free shipping (and delivery within a few days).

I check prices for things like steam cleaners and vacuum cleaners from a number of different sites, none of which are QVC. I've found much better deals elsewhere and always with free shipping.

@Tinkerbell3

I ALWAYS price check....and just a tip....even an Amazon Exec admitted that Amazon does not have the lowest prices, but the consumers assume they do......

One price check I found was "My Grandma's Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake" which was $24.33 at QVC and only $14.99 at Central Market (a speciality Super Market) same ounces and everything....
