God will see to it that the earth is not totally destroyed...no thanks to us. He will bring peace back to earth someday. He will stop us before we totally wipe each other off the face of the earth. Meanwhile I think we need to do our best to take care of what we have.

Does everybody know this story?
There was a flood in the town, so much so that people had to climb onto their rooftops to escape the waters. Many were rescued by boats.
One man refused a boat rescue, saying "God will save me." Then he refused a helicopter rescue, saying, "God will save me." And so he was still on his roof when the waters rose again, and he drowned.
When he got to Heaven, he was disappointed, saying to God, "I thought you were going to save me!" God answered, "Who do you think sent the boat and the helicopter?"

There's a lot that can be done... by everyone. Saying no to fracking is extremely important now. Some states with fracking are having earthquake swarms that haven't happened before and their water is tainted.
Use your vote. Vote out those that support fracking and that refuse to fund measures for clean water.

The Extinction Crisis
We’re currently experiencing the worst spate of species die-offs since the loss of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Although extinction is a natural phenomenon, it occurs at a natural “background” rate of about one to five species per year. Scientists estimate we’re now losing species at 1,000 to 10,000 times the background rate, with literally dozens going extinct every day. It could be a scary future indeed, with as many as 30 to 50 percent of all species possibly heading toward extinction by mid-century.

That's a short-sighted way of thinking because his job is short-term when compared to the effects of global warming.
And he's hugely invested in making people believe that. It's like getting his opinion on whether your next car should be gas or electric - what do you think he's going to say?

Amen to this! God gave us free will and the brains and resources to make changes. It would be silly to ignore them while we wait for Him to save us.

From one CB to another CB -
I like what you had to say here and it's the closest to how I perceive it. We so often agree and sometimes we don't. That matters not one iota. But I always look forward to what you have to say about any given subject and appreciate your thoughtful insights.
