I would never begin to attemp this lol. I can't even tell you if I get the proper credits for returns. I have way too many charges come through. My card was compromised a few months ago and when I called the credit card company and he went through the transactions for the previous days to verify it was emabarrasing how many there were.

My statements always match my receipts.

But sometimes an online order will be a couple of cents different when I receive the statement.  In those cases the orders always have stated "estimated" tax when I place the order.

@JeanLouiseFinch The date on the Target receipt is same as CC entry. 

The adjustment was made by CC not Target. It is odd.

I am guilty of not matching at end of the month.

I always match receipts to the cc statement.  I have only had a few problems, ususally restaurants.  One put the charge through again when the machine ran out of paper and they didn't think it had gone through.  The other was a local restaurant who added a rather large tip above the one I had put on the slip.  I marched down to the manager of the restaurant and while he was not too happy he refunded me the money.  If waitstaff is doing this it can give them a bad name for sure.

Not sure why Target would add $6 to the bill. Something is off. I can see a restaurant employee fudging the tip line, but Target? Why? I say no they didn't 

I glance over the bills, but don't match receipts.  

Someone in Cabo must have lifted our cc# as an airline ticket was purchased on our card to Guadalajara.  First they charge me $12 for a bottle of water, then they steal my cc#.  B@#*@##$.

I check my cc transactions several times a week. And my credit card and bank notify me immediately by text when any transactions are processed.

I only use my credit card to get cash back and I mostly send them a payment as soon as I've used it. I've never had anything not match.

Every credit card statement is reviewed: I match the dollar amounts.  Last week my Visa statement showed a particular restaurant charge of $30.xx but my receipt clearly showed a $6 tip added to the base charge.  

I have picked up a few fraudulent Netflix charges over the years.  Fraudulent Charges were reversed.  Once there was a $500+ charge for furniture from a New England store....definitely fraud and was corrected immediately.

Very important to go through the receipts to see if you were charged correctly.  Never assume !!!
