Do love or hate August? - Page 2

When our kids were school age, I hated August. It was such a costly month for us with all their school fees, BTS supplies, some new cloths, new shoes, etc. Plus, it was the month we had to pay our annual vehicle taxes. Quite and expensive month indeed. Now it's not so bad. Weatherwise, it's not a whole lot different than July, but by the time August rolls around a lot of my flower baskets have fizzled. My potted plants are still great this year and I think it's because our summer wasn't quite typical. The one good thing about August is that I can see September is almost here. I can find something I like about all the seasons, but I like spring and fall the best.

I like August the best of the summer months. It seems like it starts to cool down a little at the end of the month and sometimes I can feel fall in the air.

I hate the heat that is usually associated with August. So far, it hasn't been too bad this year. I love that August leads to September and that means Fall. I love fall.

If there are no encroaching hurricanes, I love August. What's not to love?

It's hot and very humid, but I work indoors under air conditioning. If the hurricanes stay away I am very happy with August and the Fall months.

I love the August we're having this year. It's been rather cool compared to most years. Today it's only been in the low 80s with low humidity. We've had a lot of rain and still have green grass rather than grass that looks like straw. So all in all it's been a good month.

August is my favorite month. It's my birthday and my parents anniversary month. I like the heat of summer winding down and cooler days starting.

We always spent the first 2 weeks in August at the beach so I do have good memories of August. However, I'm sensitive to the heat now so it's no longer a favorite time of year for me.
