Re: Do dogs really go to heaven?

I'm so sorry about the loss of your beloved little dog. Smiley Sad

I was taught in church that animals didn't possess a soul and therefore they didn't go to Heaven when they died. I found this notion very sad & depressing.

But then I saw Jack Van Impe's video entitled, "Animals in Heaven" and I am happy to say that the information in this video convinced me that not only will our pets live on in the afterlife, they will be with us in Heaven!

This video changed my outlook on caring for pets. Whereas before I felt no hope of ever seeing my dear departed pets, I now look forward to seeing all of my beloved pets who have died and are waiting in Heaven for me. I am now free to love my pets without reservation knowing that I will NEVER really lose them!

Here is a link to the video. It will help you understand the reasons God is including the animals in the afterlife. Thanks to Rev. Impe for making this video. Smiley Happy

Pretty much agree. I've known more animals with "soul" than some people I've encountered. And I wouldn't want to spend eternity in a place without animals!!!

Nantucket Shore: my sympathy for your loss. I know it sometimes takes a long time, but I hope you soon can reflect on/treasure your good times together.

Godspeed, nantucket shore's good boy!

Re: Do dogs really go to heaven?

Nantucket Shore's, I'm so sorry about your loss. My dog I had as a teen had the same problems with his legs and its so sad to see them age and lose their vitality and lose the use of their legs. Its really hard when I know that you two were together at home and at work. He became your very best friend. My best to you and I'll pray for comfort for you. God loves us so much and I believe, as the poem said, our fur babies are His gift to us and He will never withhold His gifts from us, here or in the afterlife. Your dog's spirit is still with you. My friend just had to put her retriever to sleep a few weeks ago and this week she found the most wonderful roly-poly pup and she took him home yesterday. When the time comes, may you find another dog that will need a home and lots of love that you have to give.

So sorry for your loss! He is in a better place now, no more suffering and healthy and whole. You are a wonderful mom and he knew you loved him! You will be reunited again!{#emotions_dlg.wub}

I'm so sorry for your loss and empathize with the pain you feel. Being separated from our beloved friends is so so hard. I can't imagine a world without pets, here, or hereafter.

Re: Do dogs really go to heaven?

Thanks Everyone!!!

I am still shedding tears and there are people I "run in to" that have similar stories and we cry together. If there was any way to reverse it and bring his health back I would of gone that route, I just loved him and his unconditional love was enormous, he was my co pilot in the car, he sat next to me and if I ran into a store, he would move over and sit in the driver's seat until I got back.

I'm looking for a new puppy but my mom is so sick and now she's "giving up" so my plate is full and maybe I just need to sit back and take some time for myself.

Hugs for all the nice thoughts.

First of all, let me say how sorry I am for your loss. I understand the grief of losing a furry family member. I have had a couple of dogs go over the rainbow bridge. This song says it all.

Re: Do dogs really go to heaven?

I felt so bad reading these sad sad stories if you will, broke my heart, but I do believe that pups go to Heaven. Yes I do. My lil wiener girl says her prayers most every nite when she tries her best to put her two front fat paws together and together we pray. I love her with All my heart Smiley Happy she is the sweetest creature that God has ever created. How can she Not go to Heaven"""""
