Where's the fourth guy? I thought it was the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
If you look closely, he's on the far left, wearing a stove pipe hat! lol
Looks like the hat Slash wore when he was in Guns and Roses. LOL

Think of all the words we grew up using innocently, that we can't use anymore. They've been "appropriated" for other meanings, other agendas. I can't even put them down here. Phrases we used to use regularly are now considered "hate speech", because the meaning has been changed.
It seems to be running rampant these days, "Vote for me, or you'll lose your health care, free food, free housing, free this, that, the other". <<Sorry if that's considered political, mods, just delete the paragraph. It was to help make the point.
Anyway, I learned about this word, Apocalypse, recently, and it makes sense. I, for one, am more afraid of spiders than the coming changes. Will be interesting.

Some of the words and phrases that are no longer acceptable is because they were always a form of hate speech or denigration of ethnicities or lifestyles.
You may have thought the words were innocent, but they never were.
Oh puhleez!
We aren't talking THOSE words, we are talking the words and phrases that were simple and straight out not affiliated with gender preference, racism, and sexual in nature that are simply no longer acceptable to be used, have totally different meanings.
They were indeed innocent. Not everything is an injustice and I get really sick of society's attempt at making it that.
Unless they were used against someone and the meaning was known to be insulting but the person having the words thrown at them were quiet because they had no choice.

I can't think of 1 word or phrase not associated with gender preference, racism or sexual in nature that are no longer acceptable to be used.
Would you mind giving us some clue as to what they are?

It has been said that the only thing that's permanent is change. It's inevitable, and has nothing to do with religious dogma. The world religions have all kinds of dire warnings, promises, and predictions. People need to remember that it's all philosophy and nothing more. Religion through history has often been used to keep people in line, and even the most primitive of belief systems have based their whole premise on fear, mainly because it works. That technique is widely used in politics. My advice for everyone is to use the brain you are given in the pursuit of logic and reason. That in itself could be apocalyptic in the most positive meaning of the word.
Very well said . . . both of you.

The end of this crazy world being replaced by a new, better one sounds pretty good to me. :-)

Except for one thing: mankind always reverts to baser instincts and ruins a good thing. That behavior has been doomed to repeat itself throughout time.

While I don't think the space station that belongs to China that is falling out of orbit headed for Earth could be called apocalyptic, they have no idea where it will fall. It is expected in about 3 months. Scientists say most of it should burn up - it's 8 tons - but there will probably be big pieces of metal that rain down on Earth.
