Tonight I was walking behind a woman who was puffing on an e-cig and the smell was violently gross. I can't imagine inhaling that putrid smell.

I know a couple of people who smoked e-cigs and say they quit smoking thanks to them, which is great. But I also know a woman who never smoked before, but she's been vaping for a few years now. She says they're harmless. How crazy is that?

It kind of makes me wonder how those things can not be harmful. Any thoughts?

Lol!  No!  But there have been times when I've been taking my beach walk and thought the people ahead of me were smoking, and I was relieved that they were vaping.  I didn't notice a smell.

No, I do not. I got behind someone vaping though, like you. I didn't know what it was. My husband was walking with me. Not sure what kind it was, but surely they all don't smell so bad. No way that could be good for a person.

@shoekitty,

I smoked for 40 years. I quit with Chantix and never went back, not even a relapse. I was one determined soul. Congrats to you for making the journey.Woman Happy

Re: Do You Vape?

[ Edited ]

@sunala  Yes, but I think it's worse when you are shopping for produce at the grocery store, and a couple is there shopping absolutely reeking of pot.

Or walking behind someone at the mall and they also reek of pot.  It's disgusting here in California.

If you smoke fine - that's your choice, but take a shower or let your clothes air out once in a while....and don't subject your children to all the smoke in the car.  Talk about self-serving - your children don't have a choice when you choose to smoke in an enclosed vehicle and drive around with your children in the back seat.

I'll take the vaping anytime over the pot smell.

Maybe it was a weed vape, instead of an evape. I think anything you take into your lungs besides fresh air is probably harmful. However, I guess it's a matter of degree here.

I smoked for almost 15 years and quit cold turkey over 30 years ago.  I would never vape.  I've never seen anyone do it either, but thought I had read it was odorless.

We went to see Opera on Tap, and there was a guy that used 2 of them ,all night long. He brought a towel along to catch the vapor. I guess he needed to to feed his habit?

It didn't look to me like he was using it to break the cigarette habit. He looked totally addicted

I think the jury is still out on what it does to your health

Vaping is not smoking, there are many e liquids that can be vaped, some smell more pungent than others

I use it as a method to get my CBD oil, which helps my fibro and arthritis, I have never vaped in public

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.
