According to to industry insiders the voting period was already closed so No. However his arrogance is off putting to a lot of people. While the talent is there he is relatively new and needs to be patient as he will get his flowers. On a personal note I find him a good character actor but a leading man is gaslighting us.

I'll add that I bet a large percentage of the Academy's voter membership agrees with his basic premise, but would never publicly admit it.

Chalamet reminds me of Sean Penn.  They both are quirky and sometimes quite outspoken.  Sean Penn didn't win his first Academy Award until he was in his forties.  I believe that Chalamet will also win an Oscar but not anytime soon.

No. Although I have become more cynical through the years, and I do believe sometimes actors are rewarded for their popularity or their whole body of work (Jamie Lee Curtis for Everything Everywhere All at Once - which I saw), I believe the award went to an actor who deserved it. 

And I was clapping like crazy!
