These boards made so many changes that a lot of us were so  resistant to? I hate change and was very unhappy with the changes, now I'm not. I thought the heart business was stupid but I have to say I enjoy them! When I get notifications about the hearts it makes me feel validated like what I have to say is interesting to some. I also like giving hearts when I agree with something or as a thank you. The thing I hated most was not being able to find all my previous posts, I have found a way to work around it.  Change doesn't always have to be bad.

I've learned to embrace change when it is for the common good.  It adds a wrinkle into my routine, which is good for this 'old dog'.

Re: Do You Remember When

One has to keep an open mind to change.  A good number of people on the forum shut the change down after trying it once or twice.  They say it takes thirty days to adapt to change.

I still prefer the previous format.  Sorry.

As humans, it doesn't take us long to get used to change, we just have to keep doing something, or keep using something, and before you know it, it is second nature, whether it is good change or not so good change.

It is only those that shut down when something is new, never giving it time, that don't adjust. And as with all change, there are usually some good things to come from it and some good things lost to it.

I think they have done a pretty good job and made every effort to make this board what it is supposed to be.

I was never one who had the desire to find my, or anybody else's, old posts so that was never an issue of mine.

I think there will always be SOME who are bent on making everything what THEY think it should be, so they will never be happy and that's fine.  Nobody likes all the same things.  But if one wants something to be just what pleases them, with no regard for the rest of the population, it's pretty easy to start your own board.  That way you can customize it to your own desires.  Smiley Happy

I am pretty glad to not be seeing scores of complaining threads anymore, many of which were about the same exact complaints from a small percentage of the population here.   That got tedious.

People either settle in or they move on.  Nothing wrong with that.  One thing I did the first day, to acclimate myself to the changes, was to go through ALL of the settings.  I unchecked a ton of stuff so I don't see any of the clutter or have available any of the features that didn't appeal to me.  One can customize it quite a bit.

There are a couple (only a couple) of features we previously had here, but not anymore, that I do miss but - oh well.  It is what it is.  Smiley Happy
