Re: Do You Ever Buy A Lottery Ticket?

I have never bought a lottery ticket, but I used to buy scratch offs every week.  I don't think I ever won more than $50 on one ticket.

In a raffle I won a whole book of tickets - $300 worth of scratch offs.  I think I ended up with around $75 from the whole thing.  Oh well.

No, I don't buy lotto tickets and I have never understood the appeal of a Casino. I think horse racing is abusive to those animals.

I buy four $10.00 Christmas scratch offs and tape on four big/huge candy bars and place in my son and his families stockings.  They have not said a word this year so I am sure the big jackpot of that particular ticket was not won.  Last year my DDIL won $20.00 off of her's.   I received one about 15 years ago for Christmas and won $150.00.

I figure if $2 bucks now and then is a chance, however tiny it might be, to do some real good, I'll take it.

Yes, giving $100 or more is good, but I would love nothing more than to hand a million dollar check to any number of charities, food banks and animal shelters.

Re: Do You Ever Buy A Lottery Ticket?

I need to get a few, heard they were both over 400 million.  It’s nice to dream.  I would share most of it.

A retired co worker - he was the most generous man.  Our offce shared microwave died, he immediately bought us a new one.  We wanted to pitch in and pay for it, he refused.  He retired and the son bought him a $20 scratch off that Christmas.  He won a million dollars.  So happy for him.  He would buy donuts, fill candy dishes, just a generous, nice guy.  Glad he won.
