Everyone will interpret this differently.  I prefer to think that personality is a mirror of our souls.  Are we happy?  charitable?  forgiving?   patient?   tolerant?  loving?   joyful?  trustworthy?

No, I disagree with the quote because I believe comparison allows us to see differences which gives us the basis for determining personality.

He's a designer, correct?  I would think he's talking about clothes having a personality when you can differentiate them from anything else you have in your closet and not people.  That personally makes a lot more sense to me.
