For many years I taught in the same neighborhood where I worked, so I always made sure I had hair and makeup done if I ran to the store or anything outside of school hours, lest I see a student's parent.

After a dental appointment after school, I stopped at Target on the way home to pick up something and put on some lipstick before going inside. That's the one thing i have to have on, lipstick; I look like a cadaver without any lipcolor. I put it on while walking into the store. As luck would have it, the mother of one of my students was coming in as I was leaving. She stopped to say hello and we talked a couple of minutes. After I picked up my pkg and got back into my car, I looked in the rearview mirror and to my horror, I had put my lipstick all over my lips and part of my chin, cheeks, and under my nose! My face was still numb from the novacaine that I had at the dentist. I couldn't feel where I was putting on my lipstick. I could only imagine what the parent thought and I had wandered all over Target looking like that!

That's one of the funniest things I've read in a long time!  I can't believe she didn't have the courtesy to tell you your entire face was covered in lipstick LOL.  And all the people you crossed paths with in Target. I can't even imagine what they thought.  Did you think about moving?

When I go to the dentist I always use their bathroom afterwards to clean my lips and put on lipstick. I was taught to never leave the house without lipstick.

I take a day now and then to let my face breathe.  But to pass a mirror, I feel better if I look half way decent.  Secondly, and I said it here before, if we had to go to the emergency at the hospital I want to be ready.

A group of people were having a picnic at a local beach.  Some I knew and many I didn't.  Came turn for me to water ski.  A very cute Firefighter that I'd never met before was driving the boat and another man was the spotter.  On my 3rd lap around the lake area I lost my balance and fell in hard & quickly.  When the boat came along side of me, the spotter leaned over and pulled me up to put me in the boat. As he pulled me out it was then I, along with the two of them saw that my bathing suit top was completely "off".  Evidently the force of hitting the water literally blew it off my body. I had no clue it was off until he pulled me up out of the water. It was then I noticed something felt different not to mention the look on his face being one of total surprise. I was a fairly shy person so it was horrifying at the time. They quickly gave me one of their T shirts to put on and did find my top floating on the water. Needless to say it gave the group on the beach some laughs. Everyone was decent about it at the time, but I've never forgotten it. I can laugh about it now, but back then I wanted to run and hide, but there was no place to go in a situation like that. Warning: Be careful wearing a two piece bathing suit while water skiing.

Wow @Silhouettes shadow  - that's quite a story!  I'm sure those guys on the boat, to this day, never forgot that day!  lol.  Smiley Happy  They probably have a smile on their faces when they think it of it.

I use to water ski years ago.  I always wore a bikini and thank goodness, it never happened to me.  lol.

Thanks for sharing a funny story.
