@SeaMaiden, not true. I haven't purchased anything from QVC in over 3 years, but I still read their forums occasionally.

That's true... I don't watch, I don't buy, but I still visit their forums. It's the only social media I do.

You missed my point.

Anyone who goes through a divorce knows the experience is NOTHING like shopping less with QVC.

The experience of divorce can be stressful, heartbreaking and hard to endure, life changing etc.

While the word technically is applicable, separating yourself from a shopping site is nothing like the real experience of divorce.

I think in this case the word divorce is used as a verb, not a noun, such as divorcing oneself from something, separation. Makes sense to me. I may still watch but with limits.

It was supposed to be a joke people to lighten things up here. You really think it was a comparison to someone going through a divorce?

@Kathyfobo

I've read your post 3 times and still don't see anything to indicate you were trying to be humorous.

An observation about message boards ..... Since we don't personally know the posters, and haven't got the benefit of facial expressions, hand gestures, vocal inflections or body language when expressing themselves, we have to take all posts at face value.

Usually, people trying to be funny indicate that in their posts.

JMO, of course.
